Psalm 29 | The Voice of God (MSAL)

Lyrics and music by Jody Killingsworth

Chorus
Give to the LORD all the glory that’s due Him
Give Him the honor and glory today
Sons of the mighty, lift praises up to Him
Come to His altar in holy array

Verse 1
The voice of God is a thing of wonder
It’s full of splendor and power
It makes the heavens resound like thunder
Causes nature to flower

Verse 2
The voice of God shakes the wild backcountry
It causes kingdoms to dance
It makes the land flow with milk and honey
Gives creation romance

Chorus
Give to the LORD all the glory that’s due Him
Give Him the honor and glory today
Sons of the mighty, lift praises up to Him
Come to His altar in holy array

Verse 3
The voice of God sits upon the waters
He ruled as king at the flood
He spoke a word and the nations tottered
Then were buried in mud

Verse 4
The voice of God breaks the trees in pieces
It strips the forests bare
High in His temple no creature’s speechless
All cry “Glory!” up there

Chorus
Give to the LORD all the glory that’s due Him
Give Him the honor and glory today
Sons of the mighty, lift praises up to Him
Come to His altar in holy array (x3)
